I recently had a conversation with my older brother about the importance of numbers. We discussed a range of topics, which then shifted to Numerology. He told me about a website he encountered called numerologist.com, which gave him an in-depth description of who he’s said to be based on his birthday. Now, I’ve delved into the realm of Numerology, but only enough to know about myself. I figured, why not look more into it and teach you guys what I’ve learned!
The Power of Numbers: A quick glimpse into Numerology
Numerology is essentially the study and belief in the way numbers impact and influence your life. It can be used to decide where you want to live, travel, or who you are most compatible with. I’m not claiming that this article will make you an expert on the topic, but I’m hoping to answer basic questions so I might help you on your journey.
Here comes the breakdown: There are eleven numbers used for constructing a numerology chart. These numbers are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 22. The larger number gained by adding all the number of your birthday is then reduced by combining the numbers until the sum achieved is one of the eleven numbers listed. It may sound a bit complicated so let’s go through it with an example.
- Write your birthday in numerical form. Example: 2/10/1999.
- Add the month and day you were born: 2+10=12
- Add the numbers in the year: 1+9+9+9= 28
- Add the month and day of birth to the year number: 12+28=40
- Add the result together to get a one-digit number: 4+0=4.
Therefore, your life path number is 4.
A Master number is the only exception to the rule of reducing to the single digit. Master numbers 11, 22, and 33 are intensified versions of the single-digit number (2,4 and 6) and embody traits of the number it replaces. (So 2 would replace 11 and 4 would replace 22)
To clarify, the number 2 doesn’t replace 11, the number 4 doesn’t replace 22, and neither does 6 when it comes to 33. Instead, those master numbers embody traits of its reduced number along with the master number itself. It can also be referred to as 2/11, 4/22, or 6/33. These numbers suggest a higher potential for learning or achievement in stressful environments.
Life Path Numbers and their description
Life Path 1
People with this life path number are said to be independent and strong leaders. These people are incredibly determined to get to the end goal but can also be egotistical or overtly dominant.
Life Path 2
Two’s are seen as lovers and not fighters. They are supportive and dependant, intending to seek love, and have love to seek them. They can be compassionate and emotional but service oriented and patient.
Life Path 3
People with life path 3 are wildly creative with the need to be front and center. They love to communicate and connect with people through artistic realms. Although life path 3’s flow with creativity, they can overthink and analyze. On the bright side, they are usually the life of the party.
Life Path 4
Often referred to as “seekers of knowledge,” life path 4’s are hardworking and practical. Having a sense of security is important to them. They can gather loads of information at a time. A potential downside to that is the benefit of this is being able to gather loads of information but over-analyzing.
Life Path 5
Life path 5’s are adventurous and seek a thrill. They have intense energy and don’t like to be controlled. They get bored very easily. This fun and adventurous lifestyle are great, but people with this life path can experience extreme highs and lows if they solely seek a thrill.
Life Path 6
People with this life path are extremely responsible. They can be seen as control freaks or perfectionists when things become out of balance. They tend to be a “magnet” and attract those in need of help. Overall, they are very nurturing people.
Life Path 7
Life Path 7’s can be referred to as old souls. They are intelligent and feel things intensely. It is a very spiritual life path, and many number 7’s are naturally intuitive. They also have analytical minds and love to discover. The potential conflict is being able to tap into those spiritual abilities while remaining analytical.
Life Path 8
Life path 8’s are all about financial stability. It is said that people with this life path are testy for authority. They like to be the ones in charge and don’t like being told what to do. The goal for this life path 8’s is to learn discipline and not emphasize money and power.
Life Path 9
The number nine has one of the most potent vibrations in Numerology. Life path 9’s tend to be very spiritually inclined and should learn when to give to receive. They are true humanitarians with a charismatic nature.
Life Path 11
Life path 11 is said to be the most intuitive of all numbers. 11 has all the aspects of the 2 but enhanced. The overall goal of this life path is to accept their creative abilities and trust in their intuition. They make great leaders and are natural-born healers to some degree.
Life Path 22
People with this life path are considered building for the better of humankind. The number 2 is all about harmony, and since it is doubled, there may be a tendency to become over-emotional. That is ok! People of this life path know that they may need to endure more struggle to come out triumphant.
Life Path 33
Since this number embodies 3 and 6, these people are more focused on giving than receiving. The number 3 is creative, and people with this life path should learn how to express this creative energy while remaining focused and positive. Since this is a master number, be careful of the challenges you face because you can be extremely sensitive to the world’s nuances.
No need to panic if you don’t resonate with the qualities of your life path. Numerology might not be for you, and that’s ok!
Your life path number only scrapes the surface of what numbers can tell us about ourselves. I think we underestimate the power we have within ourselves to understand who we are fully. With the help of numbers, I think we can achieve that goal.
