Before we start, I just want to give a shout-out to all owners of small businesses: hang in there and continue doing what you love to do. We will be here to spread the word if you ever need our support.
I recently wrote an article where I talked about 5 amazing small shops that deserve our support, but there are so many more small shops out there that are equally qualified to be included, hence why I am here today with another article outlining more businesses that should be checked out.
Max Roux tie-dye outfits

I spent my entire summer binge-watching YouTube videos last summer–I had just graduated high school, so it was a much more chill summer break compared to the year before when I had to make busy preparations for university applications. All vacation plans were also canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so I found myself stuck inside with nothing better to do.
I realized tie-dye outfits were back in trend somehow; all my favorite YouTubers were suddenly filming clothing hauls full of tie-dye tank tops or spaghetti straps. That was when I discovered Max Roux.Max Roux’s tie-dye line does not just have shirts and pants–tie-dye masks, socks, even scrunchies, can be found. Patterns range from splatters to marble to ombre. What attracts me the most to their options is the variety.
Raw & Rebellious Jewelry by Sarah Smith
Check out: https://rawrebellious.com/
What really drew me to this shop is that it started in a college apartment by a college student. As a university student myself, I aspire to have a place in the business world as well; owners like this really motivate youngsters like me to also make a statement in the world.
The owner of this shop, Sarah Smith, stands by the motto of making jewelry for people of any age, color, and size–a concept that I strongly root for. The time and effort she has put into her business are also incredibly impressive, for each piece of her jewelry, from necklaces to bracelets, is handmade.

Check out Brooklyn and Bailey’s shop: https://brooklynandbaileyshop.com/
This mascara is known for its amazing lengthening and volumizing effect, which can be achieved without any clumps. At only 18 USD, it is received perhaps the same level of rating as mascaras from the most high-end brands. On a special note, the owners of this line–twin sisters Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight also sell other products on the Brooklyn and Bailey shop, including outfits, jewelry, and hair accessories. This pair of young entrepreneurs also have a YouTube channel totaling over 6 million subscribers by the name BrooklynandBailey.
Bohemian Guitars
Check out: https://www.bohemianguitars.com/
This shop sells guitars and ukuleles made from oil cans–you read that right. I am not a guitar player, so I cannot comment on whether these designs are reasonable, however many experienced players with much more expertise than I do enjoy the unique look that these guitars and/or ukuleles offer. If you are looking for a guitar or ukulele that stands out, this is definitely a place to look.
Amanda Rach Lee’s stationery line
Check out: https://shopamandarachlee.com/
As a stationery addict and an enthusiastic calligrapher, I absolutely fell in love with this stationery line. If you would like to invest in some quality and aesthetic-looking stationery items in general, this site has a lot to offer, from dot-gridded notebooks with pastel covers to cute washi tapes.
For those of you who are a fan of bullet journaling, but do not have enough time to set up your spreads for each week or spend hours decorating your pages, Amanda Rach Lee sells a coloring-book-style planner, where she has done all the set-ups and doodles for you. All you have to do is to fill in the content of each bullet–this is what we call aesthetic and timeliness achieved at the same time.
Be sure to stay tuned for more! I’d love to hear if you’ve heard of these.
