“There is only a short window of time when life truly is all magic and pixie dust.”

The Christmas.

I am the embodiment of two personalities, one is the Grinch, and other is the unicorn believer. Two have their own days. To each his own, right?

Unlike in the morning, people who don’t believe in Santa Claus are starting to piss me off now that the sun is over my head.

I mean, what the…, you guys?

Do you really dump the remote possibility that a hearty, ageless, elfin-man with super dreamlike powers and the ability to travel at the speed of light to deliver happiness to the children of the world exists?

Don’t be a “skeptical” NASA scientist now!! Enjoy the moment.

Why is it so hard to fathom that a deer can fly anyway? And what?

You think it’s all made up?

God, you’re jaded.
But fine.

Is God a real entity? Is air real? Is love real? Is the whole Universe real? The food you imagine all day is real? They all ante up together. You can’t touch or smell them. But you believe they are there because all of those things are important to you. But, does everyone believe in them? No. Are they wrong for not believing in them? No, that’s just what they believe. You believe in what makes you happy. What fills your heart with joy and what gets you through when you feel flustered. Always look for those things. And if one day you find they are not real. Or you choose to no longer believe, remember it never hurt you to believe. It only made your life more exciting or magical.

Why do we do that to ourselves? Is it supposed to be some sort of twisted rite of passage? Do we feel cooler once we’ve ‘followed the sheep’ and declared Santa Claus to be inexistent?

No matter how bad you have screwed up in life whether you’re 20 or 50 or 70 years or whatever, don’t sigh into the afternoon wind and murmur to yourself, “There is no Santa.”

Because there is, our parents! The family! Pets!

Santa is lots and lots of people who keep the spirit of magic alive. Santa is pure love and magic and hope and happiness. It doesn’t hurt to be on his team.

Take an about turn and thank him for his extensive dedication to our ceaseless joy by notifying him that he is nothing short of a bunch of bull.

Anyhow, I have to try and twig the tide this year; that unfettered belief in magic. Be it Santa or anything or anyone!

See, as one of the lasting adult believer, I feel like it’s my sense of duty to try and save the last of the adorable legends before you zagged.

So pay attention, people of Earth!

Santa Claus is as real as your food cravings: always was, always will be.

Merry Christmas, everyone. Enjoy the magic.
